Sony HDR-UX7 - demonstration video

The Sony HDR-UX7, is a brief High Definition AVCHD Handycam with Clearvid CMOS Sensor, xvColour, 5.1ch Enclose sound creator and a wealth of ...

does HDR-UX7 Sony DVD Handycam Camcord record to DVD that I can just pop into my home DVD or are they smaller?

Is disc smaller and then has to be put on normal DVD or can I take directly out of camcorder and put right in my dvd player

The disc is smaller than a regular DVD, but it can play in DVD players and computers as long as they have a tray-loading drive, not a slot-loading drive (like Mac notebooks).

You have to record the disc in standard definition (DVD) mode for it to play in a regular DVD player though. The discs recorded in high definition (AVCHD mode) will only play in AVCHD-compatible players, which for now means only Bluray players and PCs with the right software.
