i was looking at buying a Sony HDR-FX1000. i found one for just over $1000. but then i am finding that the norm is around $2,500 to $3,300. i am just curious to why one site is selling it so cheap? am i missing something?

I was looking into the Canon XL2, and I think I read a review on Amazon just recently that said that if a website offers a price unusually cheaper than other prices online, then it's probably a scam. $1,000 for a $3,000 video camera? Sounds fishy.
I checked Amazon, and they're selling that camera for around $3200, so I wouldn't go for the website selling it for $1k. Sorry :-(
