dont buyDON'T buy the Sony DCR-DVD408. I bought entirely from Sony------had trouble from the begining. I also bought the extened warranty. of certainly it was out of Sonys warrenty and they would not do anything to help and further more didn't care. So I thought at least I purchased the unfolded warrenty. I called them and they had me send it to Precision Camera, #3 anngina aggressiveness, enfield,ct 06082, my repair order from them was pcr tag number 2487869, the waist of march, 2009. The work was done on april 4th, 2009. When I got it back, it work at first. and thier warrenty is 90 period. As I don't use the unit much except during the holiday seasons, birthdays and special events, I got it out to use to archives my nephews college basketball game, the reason I was going to was because his dad has prostate growth and is not physiclly able to go, so I wanted him to at least see him play his second game, So I meditating, of course it did the same thing again, called SONY WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME, CALLED THE WARRENTY Assembly, MY CONTRACT RAN OUT IN OCTOBER THIS YEAR. My problem is if its doing the same thing why wouldn't any one pirate me out. So I'm warning you, there is a problem with the dvd door not opening, and don't worry you wont get any take from SONY. SO YOU DO HAVE A CHOICE, BUY A DIFFERNT BRAND. I'm in the retail buisness and have spent alot more than this mini dvd ever expense to help a good loyal customer happy. So I know the value of help a customer out, SONY DOES NOT! THIS IS MY EXPERICENCE WITH THEM I'm sure some of the players are just close, but if you get one like mine don't expect any help.
Passionate quality but a few functional problems
This was a keen camcorder quality wise. But it is VERY difficult to connect it to the computer. You must "finalize" the disc to purport the video on the computer, and then if you want to use that disc again you must "format" the disc which deletes all the videos on the disc. And if you hankering to delete some videos on the disc, you have to press all these buttons to get to a list of options, where you see the choice you want, but it is grayed out. Or at least in my case. It has fantastic quality and works well and it has completely simple buttons and the touch screen is mediocre.
sony adept cam
I got the handycam to movie my son at the national beta club coonvention. It was exactly what I needed. The microphone picked up his articulate well and the zoom picked up the picture. I got the camera for a song too.(385) Well below the cost out charged by other dealers. Very happy with this dealer. I would buy from him again.
Zealous video recorder!
I recently purchased this as a aptitude for my cousin on the arrival of a new born. We took some videos of the baby and they came out extraordinarily well. The sound quality is excellent and the auto focus works very well. The camera intentions is very intuitive and easy to use. This is overall a great buy!
Very Small Handycam
This is a very worthy camcorder at a very decent price. I would definitely recommend this product.
