DISC Blunder!!! UGGGGGH!
I HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINTS AS THE OTHER REVIEWS I'VE Comprehend. WE'VE TAPED SO MANY IMPORTANT EVENTS ONLY TO HAVE SOME SORT OF ERROR COME UP ON THE Camouflage WHILE WE'RE TRYING TO FINALIZE THE DVD. DRIVES ME CRAZY!! ONCE THAT HAPPENS, DISC IS Dross AND MEMORIES ARE LOST FOREVER. ANOTHER PROBLEM WE HAVE IS THE "DISC ERROR" Expectations UP ON A BRAND NEW DISC. WE'VE HAD THE CAMERA FOR 6 MONTHS NOW AND TRIED DIFFERENT THINGS TO FIX THE PROBLEMS. NOTHING HELPS. Call to mind a consider I MIGHT CONTACT SAMSUNG AND SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO.

DISC Slip-up
Every on occasion I load a new disc, after a few minutes, the "write error" comes up. I've tried to purified the camcorder using Dust Off and the same thing happens. I've no idea what to do, I ruminating of smashing it on a rock and forget about it. Samsung SC-DX205 Hybrid DVD & Flash Memory Camcorder w/34x Optical Zoom.

Yearning I could give it 0 stars!
Don't buy this Camcorder! I received nothing but "disc evil" on almost all of my discs when I would load them. Sometimes it would even record for about 10 minutes, then give the "disc flagitiousness a wrong" notification. It won't even let you finalize the discs when this happens! So, I'm left with discs that are unwatchable! WHat a super-duper waste of money! Much better to get a memory card camcorder - I recommend a JVC original.
I also called customer service about the constant disc error and they said it is a rare occurance. Not place at all from what I've heard from other camcorder owners!

line frustrated
I had the same intractable as Bonnie; exchanged the first camcorder only to have the exact problem with the second. The prime problem is that I trusted the thing & recorded 4 DVD's that I am unable to "finalize" due to disc flaw (didn't matter if they were rw or r). My local store where I bought it from also addressed this with Samsung character service, who said that they have not had any other reports of this problem (hmmmmm) so it could be user evil. Not too tough to pop in a DVD shoot film, then power on to read "disc evil" so not sure how both myself & the salesman are so stupid. Sorry for my kids to not have their State wrestling tourney on DVD & the parents who couldn't think it & counted on me recording their kids as well. Kind of takes away from the "fetching" camcorder!

I antipathy this camcorder
I have been not able to this camera. I load new disc, format, record, shut off go to set down again and get the message disc error. At that point i can not finalize or view anything i have recorded. I utilized 3 different disc's and the same thing happens each time. Samsung customer serving did not help I was told to switch from the rw to the r. my point is if it does not work with the rw as it says it will straighten up on the camera then something is wrong. why do i want a camera that can only be partially used? I felt i was getting a run around from Samsung and will never edge another product of theirs as they do not stand behind their products.
