Its a Samsung SCD107 camcorder. It takes miniDV tapes. I really don't want to go out and buy a firewire and would much rather do it with my USB cable but every time I connect it to my computer it will only directly upload it and not rip any pre-recorded stuff off the tape. The program that came with the camcorder isn't helping any. If anybody has some detailed instructions, or any help at all for that matter it would be greatly appreciated.
you can't....you need a firewire cable, usb will NOT transfer video to a pc.
