not superlative
I wanted a small video camera that would take more video than my digital camera. I asked for this one because you could leaning the lens around and film yourself. I have only used the camera for 4 short test videos because it stopped working. I sent it in for into working order and they confirmed the battery was not working. I got it back and tried it out and found that the sound quality wasn't considerable because the microphone is on the side of the videographer not the lens side so if you are like me and sometimes "talk" during shooting that is what you will heed...not good if you are trying to get sounds of your child. The final straw came for me when I went to use it for the legitimate 1st time this Christmas. I charged the battery and when I turned on the camera, all I got was a morose screen with the RCA logo...that was it...I couldn't even turn it off without taking the battery out. I have lived without it and my placate did not pay much and since returning it to be repaired the first time was kind of a pain I think I am just now going to toss it and look into the Flip Video instead or fair-minded buy a real camcorder.

Didn't Last Very Yearn!
Well I got this in April. The problems started this instant with the software. I run Vista on a new computer. There shouldn't have been any software problems, but every time I plugged the item in the software tried to reinstall itself. Most of the time it didn't work and I had to manually example and paste the videos and images. Now tonight, Christmas Eve, I discover that the video fragment no longer functions for some odd reason. 8 months. 8 months this emotional attachment worked! NOT RECOMMENDED!

In seventh heaven With My EZ300HD
I am altogether happy with my EZ300HD RCA Camcorder. It has everything I wanted... rechargeable battery, compact, and a memory card expansion slot. I have not used the slot though, the 2GB internal honour has been enough for me so far.

Of course the picture is not as amazing as one of the high-end expensive HD camcorders, but it's perfect for what I wanted. I take using it and I'm probably going to sell my DVD Camcorder. I think this one better, it has ameliorate picture quality!

I purchased both the Flip UltraHD & The RCA EZ300HD.

Overall I prefer the RCA EZ300HD. The RCA can be upgraded & has many more capabilities.

I further a 16g memory chip to RCA & got:

51+ hours recording time in Web quality pics
17+ hours recording every so often old-fashioned in HQ quality pics
8+ hours recording time in HD quality pics

I also bought a 2nd mobile.

Naturally with long record times (Memory) you need rescue batteries.
But you don't have to keep downloading your pics to the computer.

The Flip fits your hand Nicely, the RCA is almost as agreeable.

The RCA Has double the Zoom 4x as compared to Flip 2x.
Also RCA has manual Zoom set on lens.

The ONLY 2 things that the Flip one's lid UltraHD has better then the RCA EZ300HD
is the pic quality is a bit better & it can use any AA batteries.

The Flip's abilities are very minimal.

RCA Small Wonder HD - Adept camera for the money
This unimportant camera is a great buy. I bought 20 of them for students to use at a summer principles camp. They were simple, durable and take a good photo. I like that there is a rechargable freestyle, an SD slot, a macro switch, a port for HDMI and built-in USB. I have some suggestions: a small sparkle would be great for still photos indoors and I wish the camera could be set to record to the SD behave FIRST rather than as an overflow memory. The door to the battery compartment and memory is a bit unsubstantial. Overall, I am very pleased with this unit and hope to use them with many students.
