Does anyone have an opinion about the "Mustek DV8200 3MP 6-in-1 Multi-Function Camcorder"?

If you find any reviews online PLEASE give me the website. And if you have your own review TELL ME!! Im going on a school trip and I want a cheap camera with a good battery life (2-3 hours if possible) so if you know how long the battery lasts that would be helpful also. And if you know a camcorder with those "features" that cost about $150 or less tell me about it!!! Thx!

I'm sorry I don't have an opinion on the particular product you have in mind, but I have owned two Mustek digital cameras in the past, for a similar reason--I needed something that seemingly had the features I wanted and was cheap, which they both did on paper.

One lasted a month, the other six weeks. They were ravenous on the batteries (4 AAs, lasted about 45 minutes new to dead, if that) were cheaply made with unfinished plastic, were boxy and bulky and the software was glitchy.

At our office, we had a Mustek scanner for exactly one week. That was because it fried itself on the eight day of use. Conclusion? You get what you pay for. Mustek products have left a very bad impression on me. You would probably be better off scouring a used Sony or Panasonic camcorder somewhere on eBay. I'm sure it'd last longer.
