Loving terrible while it lasts
Everything total written about this camera is true while the camera is working. Specifically imposing is the image quality (I shop for cameras like I shop for TVs...what's the portrait I want to see? This looked sharper and more film-like than others in the store at the ever).

If you're curious, we only had the 90 day warrantee and after two years it quit in storage. The armaments evaluation to fix it is around $50 last I checked, and ordering the suspected damaged bit (the CCD) get more than I bought the original camera for. Haven't yet found a place that'll recycle it since it's minor extent older, and I feel bad paying too much for replacement parts and worse for buying the faithful same thing over again.

I think I just joined that club of "Charge me more and erect a durable working product rather than making it cheaper and having it promised not to die within a standard timespan."

Nasty Camera and Service
First one I bought was feeble-minded upon purchase. Returned for new one at JVC advise. Second one broke after 5 uses and 6 months. Was told by JVC it would charge me $145.00 to repair. Total piece of junk and JVC will not stand behind their own commodity. Bought a Sony for about the same price and it is working just fine.

Approving product
I hand-me-down this for several occassions now and I thought this was a good buy. I was able to transfer video to my computer fairly easily. There is an SD slot on this for still pictures but nothing for moving video.

I'm hesitant to buy newer cameras with Baffling Drive capabilities or High Definition, because they cost way too much right now. It'll go down by next Christmas, but until then, I'll spike to this one.

JVC MiniDV Camcorder
Didn't like this camera when I got it. Now that I've decisively figured a few more things out on it I like it better. Works good and takes kind-hearted pictures or movies. I wish it had a light on it as it doesn't work to convincing on any dark shots. Can be complicated to figure out but, all in all a good camera. Condensed in size.

what a fantabulous zoom feature
been using now for some beat I really like the 32 optical zoom man its good. I sport lots of golf and I was able to zoom in on the group in front of me over 200 yards somewhere else. Too bad camera did'nt come with a stabilizer.. cause it really flutters when you zoom in so far in a different place..Hey JVC make next camera with some stabilizing for this price....

Elementary to Use
The upshot is compact and portable, seems solid and well made. The zoom is good, and the functions are all honestly simple. Hooks up to a tv easily enough.

The nigh vision feature, while providing more safely a improved visibility, creates more of a strobing effect than I would have liked. Also, I have not yet figured out how to bring video to a computer (I have the right cable), but I haven't tried too hard to be featured it out.

Necessitous CS
I had a current poor experience with JVC and thought I would share it with others so it does not happen again. Recently JVC honourable let me down when it was obvious the camera was poorly designed and built. They were not interested in even irksome to help out.
I am now using a different brand and will definitely avoid JVC in the time to come. I just hate it when companies do not care about their customers but just about profit. This will do back and bite them in the behind.

Monstrous Camcorder but with low photo resolution
It's a profound Camcorder despite still uses MiniDV tapes. However, the attached Digital Camera has a low exactness (640 x 480) and it's the weak point of this equipment. The Zoom is able but requires a support for zoom.

DO NOT buy this camcorder
This is the minute JVC camcorder that I have purchased. The first one is still working fine. The new one however picks up a terrible motor rumble from the camera. If you want to listen to a buzzing noise during all of your videos then buy all means but it, otherwise if you like clean-cut audio I would not reccomend this camcorder. The camera makes a loud whirring common-sense that is picked up by the microphone and is very loud on the tape.

JVC A Title-holder with Remote Control Zoom
I absolutely Amity this JVC GR-395. It is difficult to find a MiniDV camcorder with remote control, let alone a reasonably priced one. I have been masterful to shoot some outstanding video thanks to the remote zoom. I have owned at least 5 MiniDV cams and am soooo satisfied with this camera. A couple weeks later I purchased a refurbished Quick MiniDV with a remote and the thing stopped working after just a couple duration. I am not a professional, but I strongly recommend this unit for anyone wanting a dependable entity with super features for a great price. Don't even hesitate. Just purchase order this thing TODAY. You'll be thrilled with this camera!

JVC introduces the Red-hot Slow technology with the GR-D290. This technology allows, for the first time ever, the operator to record slow motion images and play them back with real-era sound. Live Slow is extremely useful for playing back venerated or hard-to-see moments as the speed is slowed down to a quarter of normal playing hustle. This effect is achieved by the camera recording the picture at 1/4 the well-adjusted speed, and thus showing with great clarity a slow motion impact. Slow motion images are recorded with sound on a DVC tape and played back in official time, thus allowing one to view greater detail in the image. In addition, even footage stimulus at normal speed can be played back with the slow motion effect. In this way hallowed moments become all the more enjoyable.

Kaput camcorder
I purchased this camcorder 10 mths ago to fill my video and still photography needs. It's great to only carry one camera, however still photos only turning out when taken outside in daylight. I made the mistake of not purchasing an extended covenant because now it's broken and a repair is likely to cost more than purchasing a new one. This is my fourth JVC camcorder in five years. Only the first one lasted more than one year, and that's because I purchased the 2 yr guarantee and took it in for repairs three times. At the end of the 2 yrs, it had to be thrown out.
