not like-minded with Windows Vistathis is video camera is not on the same wave length with Window's vista. the program that comes with it. STINKS! I didn't try to download and try until after the agreement had un be known to me expired. I bought an expensive DVD player that only plays what is on this camcorder. on the look again but will NOT buy a JVC.
wonderful
fooling an amazing camera. Very easy to use, cute, small, and portable. gigantic features for both beginners and more advanced users.
Solid camcorder for common shooting
I bought this camcorder because I wanted to have one I could pinch up to my computer and use iMovie to edit and burn to a DVD. This camcorder is a great buy for the money and comes with everything you desideratum to get started. The LCD screen is crisp and the quality, when on its highest setting, is very honest. This camcorder is compatible with iMovie and is small enough to go most places easily. This is a superlative buy for filming stuff outdoors. The battery life is about 1.5 hours with the beau id battery so I would recommend buying a second battery. The recording space on the highest quality setting is a little over 7 hours so it will do most work reasonable fine. A good entry-level camcorder.

I've had this camera for a year + now. It does a respectable job. And as others have said, the color is so-so and if zoomed in you just about need a tri-pod, I can't hold it stout enough. But I have discover a HUGE problem. After updating to Vista I needed the fix in place disc that came with the camera. I couldn't find it of course. I thought no mind-boggler, I'll just download it fro the JVC site. Well, they don't offer any drivers or software...no more than updates. You need the USB driver for this thing to work with your computer. Oh, you can use Windows Motion picture or some other program but most can't find the camera and are really a big pain to use. I googled for the driver on the internet and found nothing, nothing but residents with the same problem.
You can buy (of course) the disc from the JVC Accessory store on there site for a pure and simple 40 bucks!!! Yea, after spending a few hundred on their camera they insisted on another troublemaker of money for the USB driver to use it. Not very good customer relations if you ask me.
Anyway, if you need the part total of the disk it's...LY32210-079A

Don't get me wrong, for the money, I really like this camera.
Considerable Cam For Price
I was very impressed with the grade and size of this cam. Though it lacks a lot of features of higher priced cameras, it makes up for it with mass and ease of use. The biggest feature that is missing is the ability to manually oversee focusing and other features, but at the same time you can pull it out of a large pocket, unsettled the cameras screen and start recording within just a few seconds. The 30 gig hard drive is enough to hold out a ton of video. Since I received it, I have shot video all day at the SD zoo, Wild Animal Put, Sea World, Disneyland, and a couple of family gatherings, and still have a lot of space on the drive. I would set forward a couple of upgrades for this camera that can be purchased separately, one which is a necessity, which is an spear-carrier battery. You will only get a 1.5 hours of recording time at most. If you like inspection what you just recorded it can be much less. These batteries can range from 30 - 75 on the net from my own research, some generic ones lay hold of with wall and car chargers, which tend come in handy. The other upgrade I would put would be lens filters and extra shooting lenses. I was able to get a 3 chessman lens kit and a 2 shooting lens kit that fit this camera for around [...]. Most these lenses are reasonable to broaden the scope of what and how good you can shoot something. The one lens I would make a weight wold be the uv lens it will protect the cameras lens and slow the ignominy of the lens from uv light, and gives a little to the shooting quality. Another gear purchase would be a lens hood, just to cut out more sun and glare. If you spend between an [...], you will go from having a modest fun camera to a pretty good and functional camera. Overall, for the pair hundred I spent on a refurbished model and the [...] I spent on upgrades, it well outperformed be like classes of cameras I researched, and most importantly I enjoy using it.
