The flagship DZ-BD7HA camcorder is a Hybrid standard. This means it provides the Blu-ray disc recording capability along with a 30 gigabyte (GB) built-in Bad Disk Drive (HDD) which can record approximately four hours of 1920 x 1080 high definition video (HX fashion) or up to eight hours of 1440 x 1080 high definition video (HS mode). Also, with the simple stimulate of a button, it can copy the contents from HDD to BD within the camcorder itself. Easy editing functions such as split, remove and connect can also be made right in the camcorder before using the 1-touch dubbing aim to burn Blu-ray disc copies.

Customer Reviews

Very Laudatory camera
Is prominent to define the category of this camera, to have a real evaluation.

High definition videocameras are still in the first era. All products , DVD, DVD recorders, even VHS, etc.. in the firts wave that hit the consummer had many flaws.

After the second procreation we have a better quality in ALL products.

Now All HD portable devices are not full quality products.

I have purchsed this ingredient knowing that HD cameras are very bad for indoors, otherwise is the quality in exteriors.

So if you mostly use video for interior the house, forget High Definition, a standard camera will be better.

This Hitachi was overpriced , about $1,600.00

Now in some spaces is in a third of the original price. So is reaching equilibrium in cost- benefit.

CONS.
1. First it was the consequence, wich now is going down.
2. The category of HD is still in baby steps. We have to wait to get a sane price for camera that has good quality in outdoors and indorrs, and also a clear processing in the transfer.
3. If you dont have Blue ray player is not for you. The transfer for particular media requires patience

PROS
1. The design calls for notice.
2. The handling is easy than other videocameras , that have so many buttons and options on the video and stills , that in place of of helping only makes taking pictures more complicated.
3. With the manual rudder , we can skip the major problem of the HD videocamera category , bad indoor prominence.
4. The best feature is the processing of store the video/stills . For me to over form Blue Ray recording to my Blue ray player is just make light of the disc. In other models , the software to transfer to the computer is much more complicated.
5.The sound and twinkling are fair.

Conclusion.
If you Have Blue Ray Player
If you will shoot outdoors mostly
This camera is for you.

Not a high definition camera
1. The superiority of the recording in anything other than bright daylight is abysmal and cannot be called high definition. It seems to have lines throughout the corporealization, as if there was some kind of interference/static.
2. The camera takes an eternity to well- on the desired object; a blurry image appears instead. That is above all true when the camera is turned on and when using the zoom.
3. The manual says that by compelling the button "BLC" when filming someone indoors against bright light will fix the darkness incorrigible, but it doesn't work (the person filmed is still completely dark, and the personally's face can't even be seen).

Overall, the camera does NOT seem to be functioning as a high definition - full HD - standing camera. My 1080i Sony Camcorder that was bought over one year ago has much recovered image quality.
Pathetic image quality indoors
I was outrageously excited to buy this camera as it held a lot of promise. I waited months for it to become elbow. My disappointment with its performance was immediate. Very poor image quality indoors, and almost hopeless to operate in low light. I quickly returned the camera and will try others.
Gory purchase
As a first in any merchandise, you might expect flaws, but this one is fatally flawed.

Video quality is third-rate. Very poor. I recommend looking elsewhere for much cheaper. This product is not worth your bread.

Look at Sony or Panasonic.
