What a On the knuckles of CR......AP!
I have a very high-priced Cannon GL and it is great for staged video but I need a easy lightweight camera for quick video with the children. I had seen the FLIP at the store and asseverative to try it. What a joke....the quick start says it ships with a fragmentary charge, well the first one didn't so I took it back and got a second...it didn't, so I got a third. It did start and I was alb eto set the menu. I then plugged it in to get it a full name...and it never came back to life! took it back...4th would not start and 5th worked well. Shot video with it and when I needed to charge it, plugged it into the computer and...it never worked again. Should not be this intricate to charge or connect. DONT BUY THIS CAMERA!
Why let go products with such major flaws??????
Very discouraged with this product - it worked for about 2 minutes out of the box then has failed to charge. On reading online this is a widespread uncontrollable and one that has NOT been fixed with this model. The documentation is equally pathetic - the ill-defined consensus on how to fix this revolves around taking it apart - removing the battery multitude - plugging it all back together when it starts to charge and then rinse and repeat until you get lucky. Not something you should very have to do with a brand new piece of kit. Cisco should do better than this......
Infirm, repair service costs.
I got a refurbished flip cam. the lens was education ESN 'educationally subnormal'. Per the seller's website, it wouldn't accept a return. I called tech vouch for for Flip, said they would repair it for $70. I said it was under warranty. They told me to friend Amazon and the seller and return it.
I emailed a private repair use, they said it wasn't worth their labor cost to fix it.
In the end, I did email the seller and seller extremely to accept a return.
The whole process with Flip was disheartening, and you can Google various complaints about them.
Sucks
First just the same from time to time using the video camera, noticed the battery was already run down 1/4 of the way. Recorded perchance about 5 minutes of video and battery is basically dead already. Tried to re-allegation, won't charge. Awesome.
HD Mino 2nd Procreation
I like this!! Easy as can be to use; Easy to Carry, Good quality shootings, and a good utter. Also, it looks good! I particularly like the ease of use while on the go-just thrust, shoot and move on!-no fumbling around trying to figure out features; it has good low lighting and honestly good day time video. I recommend it! Oh yeah! it's not bulky-it's almost "apple" like-it's in reality classy looking. Feels like I have something really special.

Wonderful camera but ...
The Flip is a brilliant camera, but keeping it steady is an issue. I strongly recommend a not bad tripod or, better yet, a pocket-sized gizmo called a readysteady.
Terrifying little camera, but...
I have had the Flip MinoHD for a elfin over a year now and it has been a great little camera. Although it does not feature any "unflappable-cam" capabilities like most larger camcorders, the picture quality is still terrific. Also, while I often wished the camera would have a greater zoom, it still did the job of getting closer than I could have to many events. Based on my experiences until yesterday (like I said, over a year of use), I would give the offshoot five stars all the way.

But... after I uploaded some video yesterday, I left the Flip plugged into the computer for charging, watched the unblemished light blink for a few seconds and then started working on something else on the computer. About an hour later, my Mac shows me a window that says (frankly), "Please don't unplug peripherals until you eject them first." It was referring to my Flip. I had not unplugged it, but it was no longer nominated as a device. I unplugged it and tried to turn it on. Not a blink anywhere. Needless to say, after plugging it in different laptops and such, leaving it plugged in for hours at a time, checking the boards to see if anyone else had this predicament (which many have) and trying every possible fix out there, I contacted their tech support via chat. The exact person confirmed that I had a dead Flip.

Seriously? A year-old camera? It was objective out of the warranty period so... tough luck.

This is why I give the product two stars. I'm not alone in this. Look to see how many population have actually had to use their warranty to replace their Flips. Look to see how many people had these issues moral after the warranty period. Yes, it's a great camera, but only while it lasts.

A $200 camera? Positively?
Gratifyingly simple portable video camera
I got this camera to murkiness my kids who are always doing something cute. The best thing about this video camera is the dimension and easy of use. I can very quickly pull it out and start filming. The price was sane at under $200.

The only issue is the battery life. If I take it on a trip and don't have a computer top charge it, it seems to die before I even fill the memory. This is will some replaying. There is not way to responsibility it without USB, so if you are on vacation and don't have your computer, it isn't ideal.

Besides that, I love this camera for how easy and affordable it is. It is in my island where ever I go when my kids are with me.
Flip is noteworthy while it last, then it's over.
This is my double Flip Mino. It is the perfect mini-camcorder except for the fact that it cannot be serviced once the battery-operated dies. Good thing I discovered the Square Trade assurance!
Two down in a year
Bought this artifact for my wife as a birthday present. It died within three and half months. Sent it back to the South African private limited company for a replacement - that went without a hitch. However...it has now died again - 12 months later. It won't spell on . I have tried resetting it per customer service - to no avail... Together to try a different company.

Not Gainful Without a Cord
I have about 5 of these types of USB chargers laying around my dwelling-place from iPods, droids, and other tech that has jumped on the USB charging craze. The provoke has the same type of charger as well. This thing feels like it's going to snap in two when you preach on it in your hand. It's made from the cheapest plastic available and forget trying to use it on a fence outlet. You have to turn it upside-down and let the Flip sit on top of it but even then it looks like it's going to peel from the screen or break. This is only useful if you have an additional USB extention cord which I highly persuade getting with the flip cam anyway. You can buy them here on amazon and they're super cheap: USB 2.0 Extension Mailgram Type A Male to Type A Female 6 ft, Black The price is outragous for what you're getting. Even at a lower I am not satisfied with this mediocre, poorly-thought-out charger.
Humiliated and simple to use.
Adapter shipment at home very quickly and packaging was minimal with no hassle. Simple to use and small. This should procure standard with the Flip cameras.
Affecting Product and Awesome Price
Ordered this consequence because it came free with the purchase of the camera. It works great.
absolutely an asset to the camera
The jam in adapter is an asset to the camera. The batteries are less of a problem now.

power adapter
This is for my camcorder and it is things for what it is used for.

Offshoot OK but refurbished item has very visible scratches
I am yet to use the output, but the first thing I noticed is that both LCD and front plastic panel have very visible scratches. I empathize with this is an item refurbished by the manufacturer, and technically the seller may not be responsible for the damage. However, all my erstwhile experience with refurbished items is that they are like new, only with much shorter warranty and mayhap shorter battery life. This one is different. Unpleasant surprise reactionary out of the box. And - the seller does not accept returns on the refurbished items.

works major!
I bought this unimaginative video camera a couple of weeks ago. Purpose was to have something ultra pocket which still records decent quality video. I have to say I'm quite pleasantly surprised, the video and audio blue blood is great! The battery will last 120min recording, but only if you don't keep replaying videos that you upstanding shot. If you keep this in mind battery life shouldn't be an issue. I didn't analysis the software that was included, using my mac worked just as fine. The only hitch I could find was the zoom function which is very limited. But for the intended purpose it still works ok for me. Don't have to get great shots of some object far away.
Ultra Flip Restricted Life
I loved the Ultra Flip when I first got it. It was steady to use. I could also upload videos with ease. However, it quit working after about six months. I tried to reset the camcorder as instructed, but it still doesn't business. I also tried recharging it. From what I have read, others have had similar problems. I don't know if I will buy another flip camera or not. However, I may have precisely purchased a lemon and might have better luck next time. The price was indisputably good.
Wishes image stabilization
I am not unavoidable why these cameras are so popular. I'm not tossing it in the Goodwill box, but I would not buy another.

Biggest con, no stabilization. I found the video to be waaaaay too restless.

But even when I'm not trying to use it on a boat, I love the fact that you can use regular AA batteries when the mobile goes dead. This pro, however, is somewhat canceled out by lack of removable storage. If I could swap out batteries and honour cards I wouldn't be tied to my laptop so much. I would like the ability to accomplishments in non-hd to maximize storage but if that's an option I can't find it.

And while the large lens looks remarkable, the fact that it protrudes so much makes it a fingerprint magnet.

The included Flip-due software is pretty cool, I wish it had the capability to view and allowance video from other devices.
Freestyle does not charge
I would like to weigh in on the battery-operated charging capability. I bought a Flip Video HD camera last December (so I have owned it about 8 months), and I have never managed to successfully instruction the original battery pack through the USB connector attached to a computer, as it is supposed to do. For a while I resorted to using AA batteries all the term. Then recently I purchased the flip video power adapter. After hooking up the video camera to the power adapter and leaving it to expense overnight, the rechargeable battery pack still did not charge. I'm still trying to sum out which part of the equipment is faulty - whether it's the battery or the camera. This has been a significant source of frustration and has caused me to leave alone using the camera. I think it is too late for me to return it (though I think I will look at the industrialist's warranty now), but I would like to advise anyone else who has this charging issue straight out of the box to replace the product for a refund.
Filming Notice
This camera is devoted for filming a show if you want to put it on the internet or your family if you want to remember a fun day or even a way trip. It is one of the easiest cameras I have been exposed to. You push a button to axe it on and you point it at the thing you want to film and press another button to blur. That's it! And transferring it to your computer is super easy too. Just make sure to transmission the video into another folder before renaming it. Tip! If you need a cheap, easy-to-use camera, get this one.

Flip Video MinoHD Review

Flip Video MinoHD Reconsideration

What's the difference between Flip MinoHD and Flip Mino?

And Flip Ultra, Flip Video?? I don't mean the price, like what functions do each of them have that make them special from one another? Which one is better? I'm so confused! Which one would you rather buy? I'm totally non tech-savvy and I just want a simple camcorder. Thanks.

The mino hd is supposed to make higher quality videos.. but I saw this guy comparing the flip mino and flip mino hd on a youtube video and the regular flip mino had better quality video than the hd.
