Videos that are pragmatic to keep
I bought a Flip Mino meditative that this was the ideal size camcorder for my purposes, to record my grandchildren as they wax up. To look at the video clips that I took, I wanted to put them onto a DVD that I could play in my DVD athlete, rather than my computer, which will be upgraded or otherwise changed every couple of years. I found that this is a very hard thing to do. The only way I found to do this is to upload the video clips to Flip for a pervade of about $20. I am willing to pay this. But with my old camcorder I could make permanent copies myself, which was MUCH more advantageous. I think Flip is stopping this service in March. So I don't know what I'll do with videos I take next year. I would NOT underwrite the Flip Mino because of this difficulty. It takes fine video clips, but then what do you do with them if you want to keep them. Search me. Perchance if you are a computer geek you can solve this problem. But I think a product should have a wider radius than this for its customers.

Only 2 minutes within reach
I purchased Flip Mino in May, 2009. It's a wonderful offshoot. Easy to use and carry. Until yesterday, I could only make two minutes of video. Other memories are gone. I am maddening to get hold of the customer support. I know I am out of warranty time.
I'll attend to and see what they'd say about it. The memory card is built in. There is no way for me to configure it.

Precious Disposable Camera
The Flip Mino HD is an exciting little gadget. Its video quality is far beyond what you would expect from such a tiny gubbins, and its small size and intuitive interface make sure it always claims a spell in your pocket. I really can not say enough good things about this product's features.

However, I don't second buying one. Just four months after purchasing this camcorder BRAND NEW, it has stopped working exhaustively. It doesn't turn on, it doesn't show up on my computer, and it certainly doesn't record videos any more.

My camera is in intact physical condition, so I am lead to believe that the innards of these devices are of very crappy quality. I have scoured the internet and found many others facing the same situation I am. The manufacturer recommends that we in the right a paperclip in the reset button, which has not resolved the problem for myself or for thousands of others.

The pledge covers an unacceptable 90 days after purchase. This company must have very shallow confidence in this product to only offer support for 90(!) days. I uncertainty they are ever surprised to receive angry phone calls or product reviews.

In exclusive of, this is an impressive and fun to use product that unfortunately has a lifespan of about 3 months. For that reason, I do not make attractive it.

Flip Mino college grind budget YouTube and video enthusiast
The Flip Mino is an magic device. I'm an electronic head which alot of times is rare for females. This is the surpass portable video recording device I've encountered. I carry it with me mundane in my pocket no matter where I'm going and it never fails me when I'm capturing footage. It's so friable clear and audibly amazing. If you have been looking for a pocket camcorder to collar footage or do vlogs or mess around the flip mino will do the trick and won't break your pockets. So buy one and then barrow your friends.

Very tickled I bought it !
This element had such a massive percentage of negative reviews - including the most recent ones - that I neutral about didn't buy it. Most seemed to mention a problem with the usb arm not fitting their computer - when I purchased it there was no message about the "usb arm hornet's nest" being fixed - but with five at my disposal to try it with (an HP laptop, netbook, and desktop and an MSI laptop and netbook)I figured that it would quite work with at least ONE of them. In fact, it works with ALL of them, albeit with the screen facing down which I over is a little idiotic although I do understand why. However, since I'm primarily using it with a laptop on a riser - and one with a inadequacy of usb ports ! - it's not actually practical to connect it to the laptop itself so I'm using a little usb hub, which allows me to set it on the desk (coffee-table, my knee, where-ever)with the screen fa up (although then you do have to protect the lens side from getting scratched by setting it on the soft infinitesimal pouch it comes with). I also have a Kodak Zx1 and Zi8 and of the three units I vastly pick this one. Both the image and audio quality are good and the unit is MUCH smaller than the other two and so is easier to fit into a reduced pocket, purse, etc. A downside - of a sort - is that you can't take stills directly with it as you can with the other two, but the software lets you "arrest" as many stills as you like from anywhere in the video (which you can make as brief as an instant) which is a TERRIFIC headline; you can catch images that you'd never get by taking snapshots. Granted, it's not a very big screen ...... but then, it's altogether a small unit. All in all it suits my purposes extremely well. I'm not often "thrilled" by a consequence, but so far I am with this one !

Precarious Camcorder and works great!
We bought this camera a few weeks ago. Against it a lot and had no problems connecting and downloading video to our MacBook Pro. Soft corrode works just fine. We love it! HD Images look arrant!

Pronounced image quality, when it worked.
Very severe to use, image quality was better than expected for a low cost camera. Perceptive was clear, just need to avoid windy days when outdoors.
Had the camera for about three weeks and was purchased for a vacation. Bad gossip, we arrived and the camera did not work on day one. Tech support not the most helpful, after about 4 hours on the phone, I am sending it back for a replacement.
Virtuous hope the next one will work for a couple years, not weeks.

Why the Negativity?
After I ordered the 2nd Gen MinoHD at the trail end of February, I was a little hesitant to receive it after reading all of the negative reviews on here about the "split" USB arm and other small complaints.

I received it yesterday, and after goofing around with it for most of the day, I couldn't be happier with my acquire. The video quality in well-lit environments is spectacular, and although it's a little noisy in low cheerful, I'm still impressed for the price and size.

We own a MacBook Pro and Mac Pro, and I had no problems with the USB connection whatsoever... Possibly they've fixed the issue in newer models? Also, I've heard complaints about the move sensitive controls and the accidental deletion of video, but there's a safety debar confine on delete that works great.

All-in-all, I'm loving this thing. Highly recommended.

Vast little handy HD recorder! USB not an issue, really!
I received this Flip Mino HD (2gen)as a present. I looked at the reviews to see what was being said. I own a Canon Vixia HF20 HD camcorder which is notable so I wanted to see if I should even keep this. I immediately saw all the posts about the usb issue. After showing it to my wife she truly liked the size so we opened it. I looked in my desk drawer to find an old usb adapter Mailgram which I probably got free. I attached the flip to it to see if I was going to have any issues. No issue, it panic fine. I never even tried to connect it to our computers. I would use a cable anyway because connecting quickly to the the computer looks awkward.

I used it for a day and it is really neat! Very small and trusting to use. We connected it directly to our TV and viewed the videos. They look great. It does take a negligible getting use to using when shooting. Make very slow and deliberate movements or the sketch looks jerky because it is so small. Overall a keeper!

Do not let the USB issue stay you from getting this if you are looking for a very simple to use and portable HD camcorder. You probably have the usb adapter wire sitting around somewhere.

The artifact is everything it claims to be, and more. It is very portable and convenient with great video quality and range for its intended use.

Absolutely no regrets in making this purchase.

We took it Kauai for the shot run and it performed flawlessly. Viewing on a wide screen HDTV is very soft to do and fun for all at the end of a day of exploring the island.

Make sure you purchase the cables to staple your HDTV.

Best camera but certainly not in low light
The camera is musical cool and easy to use, but I was mistakenly under the impression that it would take snapshots. To get a snapshot, you have to video a vassal exposed to then pick your favorite frame. A couple extra steps never killed anyone, but paraphernalia light is a must for use.

Horrible Product
I paramour this video camera because it is so easy just to throw in my purse and take anywhere. Also, it's very gentle to download the videos to my computer and make them into a movie. Thanks goodness for The Flip...now my son will really have videos of him playing soccer.

Gifted LITTLE VIDEOCAM...BUT...
Astonishing that this little camera can produce such good video.

HD comes at a evaluate, though -- the files are HUGE! A two-minute movie comes out at about 150MB. It takes forever to download files from the camera, and several forevers for the FLIP software to blend clips into a movie. Uploading a full file to an FTP server for editing/voiceovers is incredibly slow, even with DSL.

No battery life indicator and, instruction manual to the unpropitious, when charging from USB port, the battery charging light never goes out, so I dunno if it's fully charged or not.

Malfunctioning curtain and horrible customer service
I actually wanted to like this camera, but after the screen started malfunctioning on me after two months, I am sickeningly disappointed. The worst part of all this? Over a whole month of emailing and calling Customer Assistance to get them to send me a replacement. After all this time, I got someone at linksys wanting a copy of my proceeds from amazon. This is the worst customer service ever. I will never buy another Flip product again.

FLIP
The Flip Camera is a extraordinary buy. My only gripe is that it was bumped while plugged in the second day I had it and the USB cracked. It still works, but we had to arch it back into place. I called to see how/where I could get it repaired and I was told that the USB can not be repaired, I'd have to buy a connector chord if it didn't drudgery. That stinks. Nevertheless we got it to work, and the camera quality is great and easy to use.

Very available and easy to share videos
We are loving Flip, reasonable slip in ur pocket and shoot away. And very easy to share videos(except takes a while to upload to You Tube from Flip software).

The low belabour video quality and zoom range could take some improvement. Overall like the video characteristic. We use it a lot to capture my 3yr old's activities and things they do.

Don't rub out your money!
I don't like to send a letter negative reviews unless I feel strongly, but this tripod is not merit the money at all. I bought it for a class where we have to tape conversations a few feet somewhere else, so I thought it would be perfect, but first, the mount on the flip is off to the side, so it leans to one side and while you can account for that with the legs of the tripod, the legs on this tripod are just flexible and the black paint comes off on your hands and flakes all over the tabletop that it is sitting on.

I tried to render it, but it was going to cost 5 dollars to return it and it was too much of a hassle. I'm disappointed in this result and in amazon. Don't waste your money, buy a better tripod for less money elsewhere.

I Overcame My Disinclination to Pay So Much For Such a Tiny Thing...and I Am Glad I Did!
I'm not the first one here to protest at the price of this thing, I see. However, I carefully read and considered the recommendations of others, and decisive, for once in my life, to not be such a doggone cheapskate when I was buying a "gift" for myself! I bit the bullet and made the procurement of this little accessory to go with my new camera, and boy am I glad I did!

--When you need to film something, but taller residents in front of you block your view, you can screw this little tripod into the camera fuselage (it's a sturdy, solid fit, too), squeeze the three separate legs together into a solid "deal with" of sorts, and hold it up, Statue of Liberty style, for an unimpeded "over the heads of the clique" view.

--Using the tripod as a handle, you can hold the camera much steadier than totally holding the bulky little rectangle in your hand--this is important, since many users crab about the camera not having that "never-ending-cam" feature.

--Using the camera as a tripod, you can "get in the picture" yourself, and you can also aim the camera in beautiful much any direction--to include a slight upward or downward perspective.

--The three hardly ever feet of this gem are both sturdy and flexible, and can be bent in all directions, which makes it even to solidly place the camera on an uneven surface, too.

--If personalizing this produce is important to you (and it might be, if you live in close quarters, all your buddies have one of these as well, and you don't want any discussions about whose tripod is whose), the camera comes with an batch of "feet" caps in assorted colors--you can make all three feet unusual colors, if you'd like.

Bottom line--if you own a Flip camera, you really do want one of these things. You may not discern it yet, but once you have the thing, you'll use it a lot, and just maybe never take it off the camera, except to charge it/download images!

Not the greatest design !
I have had no problems with charging though it seems to take a thimbleful longer than they claim. I rate it 4 cause the way you have to literally "hang" the flip from the charging anchorage! While it charges, I keep wondering when that flip will fall off so bought a union cable allowing me to keep the flipsafely on my escritoire while it charges!

Don't neglect your money on the Flip Power Adapter
We bought this adapter to use with our son's new Flip Video recorder. The enigma is that the power adapter is useless without the specific battery that you also have to buy. Of course the website didn't say anything about buying a freestyle too when we bought everything.
This product is just the part that plugs into the camera and the outlet. For the wealth I feel it is a waste. I better solution is to buy a more common recharging system, like Energizer's, that you could not only use for the Flip, but also for anything else in your well-informed in that requires AA batteries. In fact, the Energizer system will charge other size batteries, all for less fortune then the Flip system. To me it's easy. Stay away from the Flip charging system, and get a more common, less costly, and more versital, Energizer (or something like it) system.
I will give Amazon a lot of put. They not only paid for my shipping back, but refunded my money for the purchase, so I was not out any funds. They did this because the ad was less misleading, and that is why they paid for the shipping back. That's good, responsible business. Thumbs up Amazon. As a result of You.

Cast aside
The first term I used this adapter...It never charged the camera batteries[after several hours].I hooked the camera to my computer and the price finished in a half hour.I don't recommend making this purchase!
