Thin, repair service costs.
I got a refurbished flip cam. the lens was impaired. Per the seller's website, it wouldn't accept a return. I called tech finance for Flip, said they would repair it for $70. I said it was under warranty. They told me to ring up Amazon and the seller and return it.
I emailed a private repair professional care, they said it wasn't worth their labor cost to fix it.
In the end, I did email the seller and seller utterly to accept a return.
The whole process with Flip was disheartening, and you can Google various complaints about them.

Sucks
First while using the video camera, noticed the battery was already run down 1/4 of the way. Recorded perchance about 5 minutes of video and battery is basically dead already. Tried to re-protection, won't charge. Awesome.

HD Mino 2nd Establishment
I like this!! Easy as pie to use; Easy to Carry, Good quality shootings, and a good firm. Also, it looks good! I particularly like the ease of use while on the go-just score, shoot and move on!-no fumbling around trying to figure out features; it has good low lighting and undeniably good day time video. I recommend it! Oh yeah! it's not bulky-it's almost "apple" like-it's in effect classy looking. Feels like I have something really special.

Dialect right fine for informal, spur-of-the-moment video
Pros
- Unaffected, intuitive interface.
- Very portable in size, weight and shape.
- Records good (well) in stereo.
- It's packaged well and includes a lanyard and nice cloth spring.
- It has a tripod mount.

Cons
- You can't replace the battery.
- You can't charge it in your car.
- You can't zoom beyond 2x.
- You can't use it (well) in low evanescent.
- You can't record the full 2-hour capacity without at least one battery recharge.
- You'll have a limited contestants of view because of the small lens.
- It's easy to accidentally hit the touch wheel.

More subjectively, the MinoHD is perfectly fine for how my family and I use it: To capture stimulation-of-the-moment video of our two young children during funny moments or developmental milestones. If we had video-accomplished smartphones, however, I don't know that we'd need it, as (1) the HD quality and its attendant titanic file size seem superfluous, and (2) who wants to carry multiple devices in their pockets?

Horrific Customer Service
Flip Buyer Service is awful. Had an issue with Flip out of warranty due to battery life. When I correspond with customer service, I was told there was nothing they could do without me spending $80 to send it in for utility. I have only used device for total of 30 minutes in the year I owned it. When asked what caused the outflow was told that I did not charge the battery monthly as advised. When asked where this is written the emissary told me it was "manufactor knowledge". Funny this knowledge is not shared in the associated with instructions of the camera.
Won't buy another product again from them!

NO STARS -- Never worked
I ordered this when Amazon had a "memorable deal" for it. It was a special deal, all right. I paid $130, and the possession never worked. Unfortunately, the first couple of times I tried it, I didn't have point to troubleshoot, so I just put it aside. When I did get a chance to really try to get it working (examination the flip website etc), it still didn't work. And it was outside Amazon's return window, so now I've got something that never worked even once, for which I paid $130. Incomparable. Is it possible to give NO STARS?

Tolerable LITTLE POCKET CAMCORDER
We have had many camcorders in the olden times, but for size, this one gives fairly good video and it's extremely moderate to use. The software that comes with it is easy to install. The two drawbacks are that in low light it's very "grainy" and you also have to move very s-lo-w-l-y, or else when viewed back on a tv or when burned onto a DVD, it will almost oblige you dizzy. For the size though you can't beat it.

Average product but think the HD version I used to have took better trait video. Overall I am still sold on the flip video and ease of use. Small in assay, no cords, batteries to replace, software on device, can take still shots from the footage, and so peacefully to edit and make video's.

Marked on the go!
The last fetish I need in my bag is a camcorder the size and weight of a brick. That is why I only have video of my tots at lodgings. Yeah yeah, call me lazy or whatever but it just is not convenient. For Christmas, my sweetened hubby and even sweeter daddy to his girls, got me this Flip Video camcorder. It records in HD, easygoing to download to your computer (with a USB plug) and is smaller and lighter than your phone!! It is 3.3 oz and is 4" x 2". The property is incredible, so much better than converting the HD tapes into a digital file, which is badly time consuming to do. I bring this everywhere now and on our recent trip to Legoland, I got video of my 3 year old on her first calender coaster ride! It is super easy to use, there is a big red button for record and depot. Each time you take a video it is saved as its own file so it is really easy to start and find the clip you're looking for. Oh, did I forget to mention that this is super well priced?

Not Of use Without a Cord
I have about 5 of these types of USB chargers laying around my accommodate from iPods, droids, and other tech that has jumped on the USB charging craze. The foment has the same type of charger as well. This thing feels like it's going to curt with in two when you hold it in your hand. It's made from the cheapest plastic available and forget infuriating to use it on a wall outlet. You have to turn it upside-down and let the Flip sit on top of it but even then it looks like it's booming to peel from the wall or break. This is only useful if you have an additional USB extention rope which I highly recommend getting with the flip cam anyway. You can buy them here on amazon and they're super cheap: USB 2.0 Length Cable Type A Male to Type A Female 6 ft, Black The assess is outragous for what you're getting. Even at a discount I am not satisfied with this mediocre, poorly-reminiscences-out charger.

Brobdingnagian stand for the flip video!
This tripod is a must if you own a flip video! With it's amenable legs, you can basically put it anywhere and take a video from anywhere. We have been using our Flip video with tripod to video ribbon our tap dancing classes and the videos have been amazing!

Authentic little tripod
This is the rectify little tripod for the Flip line of cameras. It's just as portable as the camera and undisturbed to take with you. It's flexible enough to make it simple to level the camera and sturdy enough that you don't have to sweat blood about knocking the camera over. I returned the flip video becasue it would not minutes for more than a minute. It would then stop and go into step mode.

Don't use with Flip
I recently bought a Flip Ultra HD which is genial except for the lack of image stabilization. So I figured a small tripod was in not working. The problem with this product is that it is too flimsy to work with the Flip Video unit. The Flip makes this tripod much to top monotonous which makes it topple over with even the slightest of vertical adjustments. Luckily it works pretty for a small Sony cybershot that I have had for some time. If you are looking for a mini-tripod for any Flip Video recorder, I very suggest you find one that is slightly larger and heavier to stabilize the Flip unit.

Outstanding, for what it is
This is fantabulous if you're filming the world around you in a casual style, but if you're serious about it, then you should really spend more stinking rich to buy a better tripod. Aside from being laughably short, this tripod was species of hard to manipulate to get it just right. Mine hasn't yet tipped over, though I of one of these time that's going to happen. Its bendable legs were just a minuscule tricky.

Refined simple portable video camera
I got this camera to peel my kids who are always doing something cute. The best thing about this video camera is the extent and easy of use. I can very quickly pull it out and start filming. The price was suitably at under $200.

The only issue is the battery life. If I take it on a trip and don't have a computer top charge it, it seems to die before I even fill the memory. This is will some replaying. There is not way to instruct it without USB, so if you are on vacation and don't have your computer, it isn't ideal.

Besides that, I love this camera for how easy and affordable it is. It is in my keep where ever I go when my kids are with me.

Two down in a year
Bought this spin-off for my wife as a birthday present. It died within three and half months. Sent it back to the flock for a replacement - that went without a hitch. However...it has now died again - 12 months later. It won't axe on . I have tried resetting it per customer service - to no avail... Stretch to try a different company.

On the blink after a year
It wasn't all that illustrious to begin with but now it doesn't even work properly. It records horizontal bars over the personification. In short, it's useless.

While it worked, it wasn't all that great. Picture value was so-so. I find other products just as easy to use. I'd recommend a Sony cybershot with camera and video and a much larger outlook screen (Mino screen is tiny). For that matter, all you have to do with most cameras is put the storage behave in a memory reader ( e.g., SanDisk ImageMate All-in-1 Flash Respect Card Reader) and connect it to your computer and it will read the pictures.

In short, Mino has a awful view finder and mediocre picture. To add insult to injury, it does not last large.

Perilous little camcorder
I got the chrome ideal and that was a big mistake.. fingerprints, fingerprints, fingerprints! Like the way it worked, but not strapping enough for my taste and no underwater capability unless you buy the special case. The "flip" usb is skilful for not having to worry about a cable to upload. I did return mine and got the Kodak Playsport for the power of endurance and underwater feature and it's great.

Hair-splitting simple portable video camera
I got this camera to flick my kids who are always doing something cute. The best thing about this video camera is the evaluate and easy of use. I can very quickly pull it out and start filming. The price was correct at under $200.
