portability for my requirements, no, but for home movies' yes.
God-fearing ghost of the trinity! What is up with the price of this thing! I do NOT remember paying partially a grand for mine back in '07! I originally bought it for home movies of recreational diversion(making music videos, selfmade scif- dramas ect) but lately I use it as an intereor protection camera. It is great for both purposes. It is clear and odviously has night scheme and awesome audio for that purpose. you can hook it to a PC for perfect sound can record your doorways and driveway when you are away or in the back yard with your front door wide explain awaiting unwanted "houseguests". I can leave my home unattended when on a breif unsettle down the block to the "7/11" NOT that anyone with comon sense should just leave their hospice open to the wolves for longer a trip. It works mainly to observe my pets and my stuff while I am away and ADT can't do everything, I let the cams take up the slack. the current figure is rediculous, people are way to pround of thier cams! so I won't be buying another. the orignal retail for mine was peradventure $300 tops! good greif! I've seen more comon drift in home owners "selling" thier homes for 3x the worth(the fochers!) who is selling these tihngs! cuz it aint retailers! I am very offended at the guerdon on this website by 3rd party "sellers"! VERY OFFENDED!
Lofty buy
Very gratified with it. Have been using it ofr 2 years and I am very happy. Battery life is brilliant and SD use change it so simple to export videos, it's a breeze.
Canon FS100 - Matchless for amatures
I got this FS100 because I wanted a camcorder. Before, I had a Kodak digital camera, and the only headline the video setting had was on/off. No zoom, no white balance, no nothing. So, this camera seemed tasteful, I got it for a good price, and I was super happy with it. I still am, mind you, but it does have it's cons.
Pros: It's shamed, which is nice. But it's hard to keep steady when zooming. Video quality is OK for internet videos, but on a TV it might look acidulous. But I've used this for a few years now, and got some great footage. The battery life is indeed great, but for long shoots I normally plug it into the wall and purvey off the electricity. I have an SD card (which is better then DV tapes) and it can hold 3+ hours of horizontal video. Useful when recording a speech or something.
Cons: The camera names the videos randomly. It names the videos something like "Video1 to Video10" then "VideoA to VideoZ" and then "Video1A to Video10Z", it's positively random. So when you want to put your videos in order, it's really hard. If you use the disk that comes with it, it re-names all of them in demand (but, I lost that CD) which is super nice. Video quality is not HD, and picture attribute is like something on a cell phone. My cell phone takes think twice pictures then this does!
client service in Virginia intercepts Irvine West Coast
I know about others having a lens fade to black problem, and sure enough. I get Irvine vamp center's ok, then 2 weeks later, no camera, and then someone in virginia is pissed off I ever was gifted to buy it after saving money out in Palm Springs summer last year, and that the seller sold me a vulgar one. She wants it and wants to keep it herself! Everything about this product was weird, including the serial no., and retailers pulled it off as ere long as returns came through, and very few FS200 in retail if at all, all due to this lens which is "hot," meaning they put it out on Stock Exchange without final ok, and that's why the followup from virginia reflects it. The lens itself I found better HD in Samsung now, which is a out-and-out change. Sony's a bit too F22 for me, and you want that softer look at times. The 16:9 is a bit antithetic with most computers and programs, and therefore again, you question why the serial no. on the camcorder needs to correct to 808 for the first 3 numbers like the other Amazon customer said before my attain of this product. I'm now selling for parts, but $337 includes the warranty, and Canon reneged, and so like their 35mm without the lens, it's only importance ony $27 on reseller's market, just like Honda.
